I snapped another picture of the sunrise over the lake this morning. I thought about how our lives reflect the Son, Jesus Christ, in our lives. Looking at picture I realized the reflection is not perfect as the original. Wow. Isn't that the truth? While we desire to reflect our Heavenly Father in our daily lives, "ripples" (cares of this life) get in the way and the effect is very obvious that we are not the original. We are a mere reflection of He, whose life was exchanged for ours. All of us want to be a witness of what the Lord has done for us, so others may believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved. We are fellow strugglers in this life and during this time, we need each other more than ever. Some may say hypocrites come to our church. Well, I prefer to call us fellow strugglers for there is none perfect but one. And He, Jesus, will meet you at church on Sunday, Wednesday or anytime, any place, even at your home. Isn't it wonderful to have a place we can gather with fellow strugglers where we feel love and accepted?
That’s a great reflection of Christ in you Carol! The thing that makes our church a great place to go is proper preaching and teaching of the Cross. I’m learning that if I get up in that reflection of Christ In my life and try to polish and improve it myself all that happens is I get in the way and only see more of me. Stepping back, placing my faith in Christ and what He did for us on the Cross, allows the Holy Spirit to work on that reflection, I see more of Jesus.
