During the civil war in El Salvador, I toured almost every school in the country. At one school, 1,200 students pressed against the stage trying to shake my hand, wanting autographs. I was a bit concerned about my safety.

One beautiful, 15-year-old girl pressed through the crowd and stood directly in front of me. With all the raised hands containing pen and paper, her stretched out arm was compelling. She had nothing in her hand.

I stooped down to hear what she wanted to say. As I did, she went totally blank. She forgot everything she wanted to say.

Suddenly, her hand swept across my perspiring face. She raised her hand soaked with my sweat and shouted to the student body...“I touched his face, and his love went into my heart!”

I melted. I wept. I felt emotions so deep.

This memory is etched in my memory forever. It makes me wonder how Jesus must have felt when a woman touched the hem of His garment. When I compare my experience, I feel certain of this...while her transformation was life-changing, the impact on Him must have been heart-changing.

Have you ever touched His face? He is waiting to lean down and listen.
Love,
Dave
I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me,
and heard my cry.
Psalm 40:1
